Diane Lane and Richard Gere appeared as a husband and wayward wife in 2002’s “Unfaithful.” Now they’ll approach marriage from another angle in the Outer Banks.

More banks look to the Outer Banks to expand 
Monarch Bank wants to be the next local financial institution to test the waters of the Outer Banks. Chesapeake-based Monarch filed a notice earlier this month with the Federal Reserve System that it intends to apply for a branch in Kitty Hawk, N.C. It wont be the first to migrate south.

Kitty Hawk council says ‘no’ to beach push 
Kitty Hawk Town Council has given future beach pushes a thumbs down. At the council’s meeting last week, the Public Works Department sought input from council due to the depletion of approximately 1200 feet of town-owned property during the Thanksgiving 2006 nor’easter.
